Holiday Task 4!!!

Describe an armed robbery of a jewellery shop from the POV of the gun being used.

“Hands up! Do not move! If not I will shoot all of you to death,” my owner shouted at one whole lot of people in the jewellery shop.

 I was being point at a lot of different people but they did not dare to look back at me.

“Bang!”

A bullet flew out of my mouth and now I am very hot. The bullet gushed out of my throat and not I am not feeling comfortable. There is steam at my mouth and it is burning hot. I was being put back at the pocket of my owner again. Finally, I could rest and relax. My owner and his friends took all the jewellery with them and they flee away from the scene. I could hear siren just a few miles away when my owner and his friends are about to flee.

Once again, my owner took me out and he fired non-stop at the policemen. I am going to break down real soon as I could not take the heat from the bullet that is gushing out of my throat. After a few rounds of firing, my throat jam and the bullet could not come out. At that moment, my owner threw me away onto the floor and I was being abandoned. I felt very dissapointed as he only used me when I am able to fire bullets and threw me away when I am unable to fire bullets. However, I am also elated as I do not need to do dirty and unlawful job for him anymore.

Holiday Task 3!!! Confessions of a cheater in “O” level exam.

“Keep all the unauthorise devices and notes into your bag and put your bag at the front of the hall,” the invigilator announced.

Upon hearing, my heart was thumping very fast, I had butterflies in my stomach. I placed my bag at the front of the hall as told to do so and went back to my seat. I was not sure if I could do well in the examination as I only studied a few chapter last night and wrote the important points on a small piece of paper.

The atmosphere was very tense when the exam script were given out as I could see that all the other students was as nervous as I am. When the invigilator announced that we could start, I flipped the paper nervously and hope that all questions that come out would be the one I studied for yesterday.

Luck was on my side, the questions that came out was the one I studied for yesterday, however I forget all of the important point. At that moment, I suddenly remembered that I kept a piece of paper which contained all those important notes for the subject in my pencil box. I hesitated to take a look at the notes at first, however, my mid told me to take a look if I wanted to pass. In the end, I took it out and copied everything onto my exam script. While copying, I was trying to be calm as not to alert the other teachers and being caught for cheating.

I heave a sigh of relieve when the exam was all over. After the exam, I felt both guilty and elated. Although I will be able to pass my exam, however I did not do it with my own ability, I cheated. From that moment onwards, I decided to study real hard for any exam and not repeat the mistake that I have made. Till now, I regretted cheating in the exam.

HOLIDAY TASK 2!!!

(a)The girls were excited as they waited for the results.

Putting their hands together, they pray that they would be able to pass their PSLE with flying colours. They were sitting down restlessly and keep on fidgeting non-stop. They have took in a lot of time to study for their PSLE and now this would determine whether they could get in their dream school. Their mind were all filled up with the result slip they were going to get later, whether it is pleasant or unpleasant. The atmosphere was very silent as all of them were very nervous.

(b) The room was badly decorated.

I opened the door with excitement for my new bedroom. To my horror, I was utterly dissapointed with the room decoration. The furniture colour and the wall colour do not match each other. The arrangement of the room was chaotic without any proper order. The furniture was all in faulty condition althought it is still useable. The glass for the window seems to crack anytime as there is a lot of crack on it.

TASK 1b!!! Failure: What are the pros and cons of failing?

Everybody would encounter failure in our life. However, failure could give us the determination to strive harder or it can pull us down. Whether failure has a positive or negative impact on us, it all depend on how we handle our failure.

The pros of failure is that when we are able to reflect on what goes wrong or what mistake we have made, we would be able to learn from our mistake and not repeating it again. Failure could also give people motivation to improve and strive harder.

Why reflecting on our failure would help? When we reflect on why we have failed, we would be able to learn from our mistake. For example, Thomas Edison tried a lot of time to invent the light bulb. Everytime, when he failed, he would reflect on what went wrong and improve on it. After several attempt, he finally succeeded in inventing the light bulb as he did not repeat his mistake and keep on improving on it.

Secondly, failure would give people more motivation to strive harder. As we fail, we would want to do better to surpass the others people around us. I am one of the example. When i experience failure, I would want to strive harder and aim to reach my goal i have set for myself.

The first con is that if they do not experience failure before, they would always think that they are the best among the others. However, when failure stike upon them, they would feel very disheartening and would keep blaming themselves for not doing better. These failure could also lead to depression as they are very disappointed with the result they get.

Secondly, failure would also give them a thought of giving up as when they fail too many time,they would feel that they are inferior to the others. They would also feel that they could not do any better no matter how hard they try as the always fail no matter how hard they try.

In conclusion, the pros of failure is that they would not repeat the same mistake if they reflect on their failure and that failure could also give them more motivation to strive harder. The cons of failure is that it would lead to depression if not being handle properly and also would give them a thought of giving up. Whether failure has a positive or negative impact on the person, it all depend on how the person think and feel.

New Year Resolutions!!! (TASK 6)

The 3 things I looking forward to in 2009 are:
1)Get to meet new friends.
2)Hope that 2009 will be a better year than 2008
3)The subject I will be taking is interesting.

The 3 goals I wish to achieve in 2009:
1)Get GOOD result in all my subject. (best to get all distinction) XD
2)Do well in NPCC and get promoted.
3)Pass all subject.

The 3 thing i achieve for 2008:
1)Got into 3E4 with most of my friends there.
2)Passed all my subject.
3)Survive through 2008. XP

3 wishes i have for EL lesson in 2009:
1)More games when teaching English. (must fun game) =P
2)More group work. (so can communicate more, must let us choose our own group better!!!)
3)Hope my English result will be better than 2008. (best is to get B3 at least)

Teachers In Their Free Time!!! (TASK 5)

The blogpost is trying to tell us that the teacher should be a good role model and the blogpost is also trying to tell us that what teacher does may affect their student. I think the author feel that what the teacher did is wrong all those thing that he wrote in the blog post is saying about all the things that teacher should not do and teacher should be a good role model and not like the teacher that the author wrote in his post.

How could a teacher be a good role model 24/7? They need time to relieve their stress and they also have their own private life. I disagree that the author wrote that the teacher should not be wearing too revealing clothes, but i feel that if they wan to post on their blogs, make sure they do not get caught. Teacher have their own freedom and they can choose what they want. Another thing that the author wrote is about going to the pub and buy drinks. Why can’t they go to pub? Teacher are also human and when they go to pub, it might be a way to relieve their stress. About the tattoo and nose piercing, I agree with the author, because they might learn from them.

DATING AND ABUSE!!! (TASK 4)

Physical abuse is physical force or violence that results in bodily injury, pain , or impairment.

Emotional abuse is like brain washing in that it systematically wears away at the victim’s self-confidence,sense of self-worth,trust in their own perceptions, and self-concept.

When people are being abuse, they have a choice to leave that person or stay with that person thinking that he/she would change for the better. Some of the reason that they choose to stay with that him/her is because they thought he/she would change. Another reason could be that they still love the other person deeply and want to stay with him no matter what happen or even stay for the sake of their children (if they are married and have children). 

I think for a healthy relationship, both party must be able to trust and respect each other. Tell each other what you are happy and unhapy about him/her and change for them. They should also give each other private space. Most important is to be good to your partner and he/she would treat you the same way.

Dress Code In School!!! (TASK 3)

Dress code in school is to let us have a sense of belonging to the school by wearing school uniform. If the student wear their own attire to school then there would be all different kind of dress in the school, therefore dress code is important to the school. Dress code could also protect the image and the reputation of the school as. For example, if a student tuck out his/her shirt outside the school when it is suppose to be tuck in, and when a person saw it, it willhave a bad impression on that student and the school.

If it is a formal occassion like a wedding, and you wear a very casual dress and slipper to their wedding, what will they think about you. I feel that we should also have dress code in office as we cannot just wear a casual dress to office, it would have a bad impression of ourself.

POST-US ELECTION!!! (TASK 2)

In the cartoon above, i see 44 men, 43 white men, 1 black man.

This cartoon is about the past President of the US which is all white in skin colour, but now the President of US is black in skin colour and it would be quite shock to some of the people as in the past it was always the “white” who is the President. The cartoon above tell us that Obama (the black man in the cartoon) had won the election.

This cartoon makes me wonder if Obama would be able to rule the country like what the past President had done? Will Obama be discriminated by the citizens?

TATTOOS!!! (TASK 1)

Do you think that those people who have tattoos is always a bad person and have committed crimes? I do not think that way. We should not judge a person by just looking at them and when we see they have tattoos, we will think that they are a bad person. If there is alot of people who have tattoos, does it mean that there is alot of bad people in this world? Althoght some of the tattoos that they have made seem quite scary, but they may see it as a art piece themselve.

We should not be biased against them or discriminate them, they also have feeling and they will feel bad when they hear us discriminating them. Some of the people with tattoos is capable of alot of things and i think we should give them a chance and not discriminate them when we saw them. I think that it is not fair for the boss to sack them when they found out that their workers have tattoos.

Overall, i think that the people who put tattoos may feel that it is a piece of art, althought it we might not feel that it is a piece of art, but we should also not discriminate them.
